I`ve been searching for a compatible wireless card for
my linux client for ages, then i stumbled accross this bad boy in pc
world. It will connect any network device to your wireless lan, just
plug it into the lan port and switch it on. It will auto detect your
wireless lan and connect you to it without any user intervention. That
is unless your w/lan is encrypted. Encrypted mode can be enabled via
the supplied windows utility cd or in a web browser.
Incorperating 802.11g technology means that transfer speed is good but
unfortunatley the encryption is only WEP. This is a big minus when most
other wireless kit around has the much more secure WAP and WAP2
encryption.
I think this is neat and easy way to get devices on your wirless lan
without the problem of drivers. If you can find that with WAP or WAP2
then even better !
